SUMMARYThe Sr. Manager, Revenue Recognition will be a revenue recognition subject matter expert engaged in a multi-year Oracle implementation and responsible for identifying, analyzing, and documenting current-state and future-state business processes and accounting policies for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. This role will support the gathering and validation of system and business requirements, design of future-state processes, and the implementation of revenue recognition business processes enabled by and designed around Oracle Cloud ERP. This role will also serve as a key member of the revenue team in supporting RealPage's compliance for revenue recognition under ASC 606, including ongoing review of customer contracts, new product offerings, quarterly portfolio analysis and annual updates.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESServe as a Revenue Recognition subject matter expert through the full project life cycle of Oracle Cloud ERP: including planning, design, configuration, build, testing, training and go-liveEvaluate and apply revenue recognition principles in a complex SaaS environment that includes new product offerings, contract modifications, gross vs. net considerations, variable consideration, subscription vs. usage and volume-based pricing, bundled products, and other technical topics as neededEvaluates business processes and gathers insights to recommend process enhancements and best practices leveraging RealPage technology stack and incoming Oracle ERP over revenue recognition and financial reporting processDevelop and implement revenue recognition policies, procedures, whitepapers and internal controls and plays a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvementsSupport the creation and delivery of training materials to support business process changes and ensure the development and adoption of the RealPage finance and accounting groupSupport and participate in the monthly financial statement close and related reporting as needed; drives improvements through automation and process refinementefficiencySupport the Sr. Director, Revenue Recognition on other projects or duties, as assignedQUALIFICATIONSCPA and Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting or equivalent are requiredMinimum of 8 years of progressive experience, including 3+ years of experience in an operational accounting leadership roleREQUIRED KNOWLEDESKILLSABILITIESExperience designing, implementing and supporting complex business processes in an Oracle ERP or comparable environment (Fusion GL, Revenue Management Cloud Services)Demonstrated expertise and experience in implementing ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting in the SaaS technology spaceExperience in interpreting revenue contracts and documenting relevant accounting impactsSolid experience with SOX requirements including the design, implementation and documentation of processprocedures and internal controlsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performanceIntermediate to advanced MS Excel, including V-lookups, functions, and pivot tables requiredSolid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlinesAbility to act and operate independently with minimal daily directionPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
