Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Administrative Manager of the Mount Sinai Elmhurst Faculty Practice Group, enrolls physicians with the various third party carriers. Maintains and updates data with physician information not limited to provider numbers.References departments for additional documentation pertinent to the enrollment process.Follow and resolve problems and or rejection from the carriers. Reviews charge review work queues for edits that need to be resolved in a timely manner. Works on data entry projects and other projects as directed by Administrative Manager. Assists with all customer care and customer service issues.ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Administrative Manager completes forms and rosters for provider enrollment and or revalidation with third party carriers not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.Maintains and updates One App Pro with physician information.Works on Epic Charge Router to ensure the provider is placed on hold while enrollment takes place. Charge Review workqueues are reviewed to resolve any enrollment related issues that may cause charge lag. Claim Edit holds are placed for providers pending certification with Medicaid for electronic billing, and Follow Up work queues are monitored for enrollment denials. Supplies additional information as requested from third party carrier.Coordinates epaces enrollment and gives access to the provider listing for billing vendor use. Contacts and works with billing vendor, carriers, departments, and medical staff on provider credentialing issues from third party plete audit materials required and requested by the third party carriers.Obtain authorizations as required.Work alongside billing vendor to track and update patient customer service issues on legacy system and Epic.Provide excellent customer service to patients and follow up on cases when needed. Provide detailed notes to billing vendor in legacy system and in new legacy system Epic Financials. Follows up on payment plans. Collects payments, creates time of service, and conducts cash draw activities. Requests refunds when needed with proper backup attached for billing vendor to review.Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and send emails to appropriate parties. Scheduling appointments when necessary.Performs other related duties that are required by the ongoing development of the Faculty Practice Group.QualificationsRequires a level of understanding that is obtained or acquired through the completion of a High School Diploma. Knowledge of and familiarity with third party carriers.Ability to use computer.
