The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical setting that treats BehavioralMental Health, Chemical DependencySUD including MAT, andor provides Psychiatry services. Shifts will be Monday- Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with some travel between the two locations. The Certified Medical Assistant will be in charge of greeting incoming patientsvendors, answering phones, rooming, incoming patients, scheduling, and chartingcommunicating with the medical management staff. Essential Functions:Maintains complete and current medical records regarding all clients served.Greets incoming persons and directstriages as needed. Checks patients in for appointments.Answers incoming phone calls, answers questions or forwards calls to the correct area. Completes any required paperwork, documentation, prior authorizations, release forms and other items as needed. In collaboration with the team, ensures a comprehensive health history through the collection of vital signs, lab work and OARRS reports as needed for further assessment and treatment.Documents client records, labs, medical records, and OARRS within Agency designated standards.Meets and sustains the OhioGuidestone designated productivity standard.Provides education to persons served, family members of persons served and other staff regarding medication, symptom management, wellness and health, as instructed by medical staff.Provides monitoring of clients' mental illness or substance use and physical symptoms; communicates any changes to the treatment team.Provides direct witnessed urinalysis, targeted case management, or individual psychotherapy to clients to monitor symptoms, carry out prescriber orders and support coordination of care.Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.Meets and sustains the Agency's designated productivity standard.Travels to other Agency sites as needed.Maintains reliable attendance.Exhibits positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.Demonstrates positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.Performance:Must be able to operate a computer, phone and other position relatedoffice technologiesMust be able to verbally exchange information in a confidential manner with employees, clients, students, participants, andor families in various settingsMust be available for crisis management by phone or in person as neededMust be able to work flexible hours as neededMust be able to clearly and confidentially communicate with OhioGuidestone employees, clients, students, participants, and other stakeholdersPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the timeMust be able to access work locations and, as necessary, which may include ascendingdescending stairsMust be able to stoop, stand, walk, bend, and stay upright to perform workMust be able to visually read written and digital informationMust be able to visually determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned andor to make general observations of facilities or structuresMust be able to receive detailed information through oral communicationMust be able to hear clients, students, or participants, co-workers, and supervisors at normal speaking levelsMust be able to dictate with clients, students, participants, co-workers, and supervisors using all means of communication including but not limited to, in-person, phone, and computerMust be able to type case files and other paperworkMust be able to frequently drive to varying work environments including agency offices.Must adhere to all Our Promise Values and Guiding PrincipalsQualifications:High school education or equivalent required.Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, required.Medical Assistant credentials, REQUIRED.CDCA and QBHS licensure required within first 6 months of employment.
