Sr. Housekeeping coordinates with various departments to assist with relocation of furniture and equipment as required.Responsibilities:Duties include, but not limited to:•Maintain inventories of equipment•Order supplies through Engineering and Maintenance department and fuel through Non-emergency Transportation Department•Knowledgeable in the safety protocol for using equipment and hand tools.•Operation and maintenance of equipment, including 2-cycle and 4-cycle small motors•Pick up trash and cleaning exterior spaces around the facilities•Removal of snow and ice from walkways, entrances and exits and spreading salt around the facility•Manicuring and maintenance of all grass, trees, shrubbery, as required•Arrange and move furniture for the purpose of relocating offices, patient resident rooms and other spaces•Assist units and Biomed department with moving beds for the purpose of preventive maintenance and cleaning•Conduct annual evaluations of Grounds Crew Service Aide•Conduct visual inspection to determine if proper level of cleanliness is achievedMinimum QualificationsOne year of service in the title of Housekeeper or performing housekeeping or related functions.Department Preferences•Able to lift 50 lbs.•Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods•Able to withstand working in the outdoors during inclement weather•Knowledge of equipment use and safety protocols for leaf blowers, lawn mowers, snow blowers, skid steer (bobcat), power washers, chainsaw and weed trimmers.•Knowledge of hand-power tools and gardening tools use.•Knowledge of gardening techniques.•A valid drivers' license and able to operate a regular vehicle and or a pickup truck.If you wish to apply for this position, please apply online at NYC Health and Hospitals offers a competitive benefits package that includes:Comprehensive Health Benefits for employees hired to work 20+ hrs. per weekRetirement Savings and Pension PlansLoan Forgiveness Programs for eligible employeesPaid Holidays and Vacation in accordance with employees' Collectively bargained contractsCollege tuition discounts and professional development opportunitiesMultiple employee discounts programs
