Civil Structural Engineer

Job DescriptionCSI Recruiting is working with a Denver-based technology and engineering company in the business of providing leading-edge technology companies with computing power and energy using stranded energy resources, including natural gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. To further the company's mission, they are hiring for an experienced Civil Structural Engineer with broad technical knowledge and experience with structural design components of medium and low voltage electrical power distribution buildings and substation projects, including steel structure and foundation analysis & design.The Civil Structural Engineer will leverage advanced Engineering knowledge and experience, working in close coordination with Project Managers (PM), the Director of Engineering, and engineering team members.The Civil Structural Engineer will support, and be part of multiple projects, within the company's office and data center locations to lead, oversee, review, andor execute the structural engineering and design of Power Distribution Buildings, and Motor Control Center Building projects.The Civil Structural Engineer will oversee, review, andor execute structural engineering tasks for a variety of industrial structural members such as rolled steel shapes, lattice steel framing, and folded plate tubular steel shapes.RequirementsENGINEERING DUTIES:Engineering duties include detailed design, calculations, and detailing for fabrication or development of loading and concept drawings for submittal to to the company's production floor steel fabricationLead, oversee, review, andor execute foundation design tasks for industrial power and datacenter structures, including drilled piers, spread footings, driven piles, and potentially other types, using industry standard softwareSupport physical building layout designs, plans, elevationssections, details, and associated bills of materialsReview and approve drawings for final PE StampingPrepare and or review specifications for construction & materialsCoordinates andor performs quality checks and reviews for project deliverables per the Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world class quality product to the clientPerforms quality checks andor reviews of projects from other teams on an as needed basisCollaborate with engineering team members including CAD designers, to cross-train and share resourcesCollaborate with other engineers to develop and maintain standardsAbility to support multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locationsMay also assist with developing technical papers andor presentations that showcase the company's technical capabilitiesParticipate in project reviews as neededSome travel may be requiredREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredStructural Engineer experienceAutoDesk software, Solidworks, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical softwarePrevious experience with an architecturalengineering or engineering consulting firm and manufacturers is a plusAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our fast-past culture is a mustFamiliarity with the latest NESC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, ASCE-113 and other industry standardsExperience using industry standard design software, including PLS software, Solidworks, and Mathcad PrimeBenefitsBENEFITS:Industry competitive payRestricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology companyHealth insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependentsEmployer contributions to HSA accountsPaid Parental LeavePaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disabilityTeladoc401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salaryGenerous paid time off and holiday scheduleCOMPENSATION RANGE:Compensation will be paid in the range of $130,000 - $140,000.
