DescriptionAs a Store Manager, a typical day might include the following:Directing all store operationsResearching, identifying and authenticating collectible trading cards by assessing the condition and quality of the item using established standardsCoaching and motivating your team to drive sales that deliver exceptional customer serviceEnsuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales serviceDelivering sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectationsActing as a partner between customers, sales associates and CardVault leadershipLearning and sharing expertise of products and trends to fit customer's needsMaintaining an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product trendsMaintaining patron satisfaction and builds relationships with preferred patronsAccomplishing human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management and hourly staff; Cleary communicates job expectations; enforces policies and proceduresMaintaining safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complies with legal regulationsDelegating authority, assigning responsibilities and effectively managing subordinatesEstablishing standards for personnel administration and performanceAnswering patrons' complaints and resolving problemsMaintaining all necessary license and permitsGeneral cash handling, reconciling cash drawers and safes, and performing opening and closing duties to company standardEnsuring the security of all merchandiseMinimizing shrinkage, identifying and reducing lossCoordinating with the CardVault Director of Inventory and Logistics regarding inventory managementOther duties as assignedRequirementsThis job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:A comprehensive knowledge of sports andor trading cards Minimum of two years store manager experience in a similar environment is requiredHigh school DiplomaGED desired. College degree preferredAbility to lead and be a part of a successful store teamExcellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and managementMust have the ability to meet or exceed sales, guest service standardsMust be comfortable working and speaking with the publicProficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systemsAbility to work weekends, evenings and holidaysAbility to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, and ability liftcarry up to 30 lbsClear understanding of retail metrics including key performance indicators necessary to drive salesPhysical Demands Work Environment Hours: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
