The comprehensive goal of the GM position is to align their store to the company's standards while working to meet and exceed store-specific performance metrics. Successful performance in this position will be measured by guest satisfaction ratings, successful execution of FOH and BOH staff training, adequate staffing, total cost of goods, total direct labor according to goal, ticket times, employee retention, overall restaurant cleanliness, health and sanitation, safety, sales growth, and a positive management and employee culture of teamwork and productivity.Responsibilities:Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and operational expertise across all aspects of both daytime caf and evening restaurantbar service.Oversee evening service and reservation management while anticipating guest needs, special occasions, and preferences through proactive communication with company administration and service team.Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of rotating food and beverage menus, including proper plating standards, portioning, and presentation, in collaboration with Culinary Development Team.Manage and responds to all guest feedback and reviews across platforms, taking ownership of guest concerns and implementing solutions, while appropriately escalating matters to Senior Director of Operations when plete, review, and approve staff schedules, simultaneously aligning to labor budgets and focusing on adequate shift coverage.Take ownership of new employee training across both front and back of house operations, ensuring consistent standards and procedures are maintained throughout all day parts.Manage all facility maintenance needs by documenting and tracking issues through maintenance management platform, coordinating with service providers, and ensuring timely completion of repairs.Take overall responsibility for health and sanitation regulations and safe food and beverage service awareness among the team.Manage store performance indicators, such as sales growth, labor, reservation covers, and review weekly with the team.Coordinate, schedule, and lead weekly leadership team meetings, review performance metrics and set store-specific goals.Develop and share individual operational improvement plans with your kitchen and service team to ensure maximum yield on staff performance.Ensure all daily and weekly administrative tasks are completed timely and accurately, delegate responsibilities where necessary.Manage the employee evaluation program and provide necessary performance feedback and developmental goals to team members.Be the direct point of contact for vendors, specifically with front of house operations, while coordinating with culinary team leaders on kitchen ordering, vendor relationships, and working in tandem to control cost.Control labor and improve the guest experience by focusing on cross-training, efficiency, and productivity of all team members.Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of management experience with preference given to GM-level experience Experience in a fine dining restaurant with a full-service bar Knowledge of, or certification in, safe food handling procedures and safe alcohol and bar proceduresExperience leading, training, and mentoring a diverse team of employeesProven record of exercising good judgment and effort to continuously improve operationsA positive upbeat personality, capable of inspiring others Basic business math and computer literacyWork Environment: This position is full-time, exempt salaried, up to 50 hours per weekThis position is 100% in-personThis position reports directly to the Senior Director of OperationsSycamore Dining, LLC and Good Food Restaurants is an equal opportunity employer.
