Customer Satisfactiona. Establish customer relationships for construction servicesb. Educate customers on the construction processc. Work with customers to understand desired upgradeschanges d. Ensure that estimates meet insurance client requirements.2. Project Initiationa. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a projectb. Using state-of-the-art technology to create an accurate sketch and initial scope of work for construction projects.c. Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial estimated. Recognize project constraints andor needed upgradese. Work with other members of the construction team to price bid items and obtain quotes from sub-contractors as needed3. Project Planninga. Identify and document finalized project scope of workb. Work with outside resources as necessary to complete accurate estimates (i.e. Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors, etc.)c. Assemble accurate and well-organized estimatesd. Follow-up with the customer to get their approval e. Deliver and communicate approved estimates to Construction TeamNecessary Experience and Skill SetMIN 2 years previous construction estimating andor P&C insurance adjusting experienceSuperb customer service track recordEffective written and oral communicationStrong math skillsComfortable learning new technology. Extremely helpful if proficient in use of Xactimateâ„¢ estimating software or at a minimum willingness to learnCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsComfortable asking for the job when necessaryTeam Player Must have a DL and good driving recordFormal EducationTrainingXactimate level 1 and 2 certifications preferred. (or willingness to obtain at company expense)Physical and Work Environment RequirementsWalking andor standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting. Occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat.
