Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelinesRespond safely and efficiently to maintenance and repair needs to equipment and machineryRespond to emergency situations during and after standard hours to resolve issues that may arisePerform coaching conversations and encouragement to ensure all maintenance employees are supported and challenged to grow and develop within the organizationConduct all processes and procedures in accordance with department guidelinesReview work orders throughout the day and communicate with team members to determine priorities and action items while keeping safety and quality in mindProvide support and training to less experienced team members when appropriateWrite detailed preventive maintenance procedures and develop preventive maintenance schedulesDocument all repairs thoroughlyFollow all safety programs and policiesKeep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)Assess and identify continuous improvements for process and equipment maintenanceTroubleshoot, plan, communicate, execute and document equipment repairs in all departments; coordinate repair schedules with area supervisorLocate, identify and prepare parts lists to complete repairsAssist in prioritizing and budgeting maintenance improvement projectsPossess and maintain up-to-date knowledge of advanced manufacturing and automation technologiesAs a member of the maintenance team, act as "emergency coordinator" - respond immediately to any workplace accidents that arise to tend to the tools and equipment involvedOTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:High school diploma or equivalent degree, or 5 years work experienceAssociates degree in Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics or related program preferredExperience:1+ years of experience in; programmable logic controller (PLC), computer numerical control (CNC), machining, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, and machine repair maintenanceOR5+ years of maintenance related experience; mechanics, hands on repair, etc.Advanced technical skills and leadership experienceOther required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to recognize safety concernsAbility to utilize the proper inspection equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong coordination and judgment skillsBasic math skillsAbility to properly use appropriate measuring toolsAlertness and careful attention is required to avoid injury to self and othersSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyAbility to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and blueprints for machined parts and equipmentLeadership training and skills are helpfulWork flexible hours, overtime and on-callEQUIPMENT USEDOffice equipment (computer, phone, printer, scanner, copier and fax machine)Various manufacturing tools, machines and equipmentMeasurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc.)
