OverviewResponsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and management of all tooling and equipment used in up-tower major component exchanges, wind turbine services, and wind turbine blade services. This role will ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of tooling within the warehouse, inventory systems, and on-site field operations.Location and Travel: This position will be based in our Dallas, TX office location and upto 50% travel. solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive tooling strategy to support up-tower major component exchanges, wind turbine services, and blade maintenanceOversee the sourcing, purchasing, and maintenance of specialized tooling and equipment necessary for safe and effective turbine repairs and service operationsEnsure tooling and equipment are regularly inspected, calibrated, and meet safety standardsManage tool inventory, tool storage systems, and asset tracking for efficiency and accountabilitySupervise the storage, handling, and shipping of tools and equipment to ensure proper organization, availability, and conditionDevelop and maintain effective inventory control systems to prevent tool shortages, misuse, or lossWork closely with the supply chain team to forecast and order tools and parts required for upcoming projectsCoordinate with Mastec Renewables' Fleet team to order, deliver and maintain the RS vehicle fleetCoordinate with RS Resources team to ensure that all new hires are trained on the PACE driving system and have DOT documentation in place prior to being issued a company vehicleProvide technical expertise and support to field technicians on the proper use of tooling and equipment during major component exchanges and turbine servicesCollaborate with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve any tooling-related issues during operationsOversee tool logistics to ensure tools are delivered to job sites in a timely and safe mannerHelp to develop and deliver training programs for technicians and other personnel on the safe and efficient use of tools and equipmentPromote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all tool-related operationsEnsure that all tooling adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and other relevant safety regulationsConduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to tooling operationsCollaborate with the safety and compliance teams to implement corrective actions when necessaryWork with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve tooling-related challengesSupport operational teams in the development of new tools or processes that improve efficiency, safety, and performanceMaintain accurate records of tool maintenance, usage, and inventoryProvide regular reports to management on tooling status, including issues, downtime, and future needsQualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent work experience in renewable energy, wind turbine services, or tooling managementFive years' experience in tooling management or related roles, with at least three years in the renewable energy or wind turbine industryProject management experience or certification (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) preferredExperience in managing specialized tools for up-tower services, turbine maintenance, and blade repairKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including the occasional need to travel to job sites and operate in outdoor conditionsAdvanced knowledge of technology in wind turbine servicing (e.g., autonomous tools or robotic systems)Knowledge of renewable energy trends and innovations in toolingIn-depth understanding of safety regulations and industry standards related to tooling and equipmentAbility to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teamsStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with industry-standard software for tooling management, inventory, and reportingStrong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management, and logisticsAbility to travel up to 50% of the time as neededWhat's in it for you:Financial WellbeingCompensation $85k-$125k year, commensurate with experienceCompetitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care)Health & WellnessMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and childrenDiabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug Plan, Pet InsuranceFamily & LifestylePaid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Bereavement LeaveMilitary Leave, including Differential Pay and Benefits ContinuationEmployee Assistance ProgramPlanning for the UnexpectedShort and long-term disability, life insurance, and accidental death & dismembermentVoluntary life insurance, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity coverageEmergency Travel Assistance ProgramGroup legal planPosition may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
