Summary of PositionThe Rolling Mill MachineTech is responsible for assisting the Rolling Mill Machine Operator in set upand completion of steel processes on the machine.Responsibilities and DutiesAs a minimum, thefollowing is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilitiesexpected of the Rolling Mill Machine Tech position. These duties are notexhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organizationrequire. •Assistthe machine operator in operations on machine andor repetitive machineoperation duties.•Identify and stage coils for processing per machine schedulein computer to ensure maximum efficiency.•Setup machine by installing proper intermediate and work rolls per the incomingcoil width.•Securelyposition work pieces on machine for processing.•Marktagidentification on material after processed and update the computer system withappropriate data for the exact specifications. •Storematerial for additional processing andor shipping.•Assistin quality control inspections.•Occasionallytend machine for proper functioning.•Restockmaterial as needed.•Safelydrive the Hi-lo through the plant to move coils and skids to designated areasand operate the over-head crane to move coils within the warehouse.•Keepimmediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.•Useprecision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers,and other production tools.•Informoperator of low stock on needed supplies. •Maintainfacility, equipment, and vehicles.•Adhereto all TSM safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.•Adhere toall TSMhandbookpolicies and procedures.RequiredQualifications•HighSchool diploma or equivalent •Strongwork ethic; self-motivated•Operatewith high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers,and suppliers•Goodwritten and oral communication skills•Abilityto measure using different tools•Goodreading and math skills•Goodorganizational, problem solving, and time management skills•Abilityto work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction•Computerskills necessaryPreferredQualifications•Oneyear of recent coiled steel processing experienceCompany Benefits401k with Company Match Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Long-term disability Short-term disability Paid Time Off Paid Holidays
