Our team of forward thinking experts is totally committed to helping you.Meet Our Leadership TeamStructural EngineerThe Structural Engineer will support the design teams with varying degrees of direct project responsibilities while maintaining an in-depth knowledgebase of the telecommunications site development process. Project work will focus on new site development of macro and small cell sites, the modification of existing telecommunications facilities, and other project types as required. Responsibilities will focus on engineering tower and compound as well as maintaining effective job flow while managing multiple projects. Senior Engineer assists the NB+C manager with the delegation of assignments, resource allocation, and the oversight of quality and timeliness of deliverables while utilizing an understanding of client-specific telecommunications equipment and their usage.Job Responsibilities:Expertise in structural engineering concepts as it relates to telecommunications facilities for towers, rooftops, water tanks, etc.Provide quality control and in-depth forensic investigations for proposed tower and mount reinforcement designsDevelop construction plans for telecommunications client equipment upgrades and modificationsAnalyze and design all types of structural support designs using building materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, light-gage, and woodPerform calculations conforming to building code requirements for structural design and analysisInteract with internal multi-disciplinary team members to expedite project completion and approvalsCreate effective job flow by tracking assigned tasks and prioritizing completion of assignments accordinglyLearn new telecommunications equipment and client-specific equipment and their usageEvaluate designs for constructability and provide creative solutions for cost-effective tower and mount reinforcement designsPerform, review and approve structural analysis reports, construction drawings, and other construction contract documents with a high level of accuracy and strict attention to detailCollaborate with NB+C manager and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, effective, and innovative approach to meet the client's needsProvide guidance and training to junior engineering team membersAssist the NB+C manager with the daily operations of the engineering teamQualifications:B.S. in CivilStructural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required5+ years' engineering experience requiredEIT required, PE preferredAutoCAD requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStructural engineering software experience required (RISA 3D, Enercalc, tnxTower, Mathcad)Professional and applicable understanding of the principles of the following knowledge area: civil, structural, and geotechnical engineeringCompetency in reading, understanding and interpreting complex building, tower, structural, and construction drawingsEngineering design principles and applicable design guides and standardsAbility to review and analyze site documentation and gather necessary information to complete the assignmentKnowledge in construction practice and principlesAbility to research and draw upon engineering knowledge to yield feasible and creative solutionsCritical thinking and problem solving for complex designsAbility to work autonomously without supervision requiredTelecommunications andor utility experience required, structural analysis and design experience requiredPractical knowledge of all telecommunications site development disciplines, including site acquisition, land use, construction management, and RFIndustry knowledge and technology trends preferredExperience in developing and reviewing project quality plans, contract documents and project specifications#LI-DL5
