Therefore, it is essential that all employees of TCM have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with and abide by our Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Principles.These core values represent our staff, and we will hire, reward, recognize, review, coach, and correct based on these core values:We are called to serve Christ and others.We believe God transforms lives.We commit to steward well.We succeed by working together.We care for every person knowing all are made in the image of God.Position Summary: Assists in providing high-quality early childhood education and care through a strong Christian worldview, while maintaining a safe, supportive, stimulating, and educational environment to children ages 0-2.Supervisory Responsibilities: None.Essential Job Functions: Assists in implementing gospel-centered lessons, bible-based character development, field trips, and developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's social, developmental, spiritual, and educational growth.Responsible for children's health, safety, and physical municates with moms concerning children's development and behavior.Regularly assesses the needs of the room to ensure supplies and equipment are clean and up to date.Assist in performing and tracking monthly assessments that measure developmental milestones of children.Provides support in maintaining integrity of operating practices, recordkeeping, report writing, attendance systems and data control for the childcare area.Provides material resources for mothers with children including expectant mothers.Provides one-on-one attention with children as instructed.Assists in the preschool room, ages 3-5, as needed.Provides support for Family Ministries team and TCM special events as needed.RequirementsSkillsAbilities (required unless noted): Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative. Excellent communication skills with children, parents, staff, volunteers, and interns. Ability to be patient and understanding when working with children and interacting with parents. Experience working with children is preferred. Ability to cope with a stressful environment. Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines. Must be able to handle pressure of constantly working with individuals in crisis. Must be able to handle pressure of interruptions in daily activities.
