Location: Clearwater Corp, Clearwater, FloridaPosition Type: Salary Full-Time Exempt | 40 hours per weekPay Range: $35,041.61 - 43,801.41 AnnuallyAbout this opportunity:Conducts client home visitations; conducts spiritual, crisis and supportive pastoral care for clients and staff; visits clients when ill or in the hospital; participates in employeevolunteer fellowship to promote morale; conducts staff and volunteer devotions; provides Chaplain services and assistance with disaster services.Key responsibilities:Meets with all new clients.Provides spiritual, crisis, and supportive pastoral care for clients and staff.Conducts visitation and linkage with area Corps.Connects clients to Corps.Provides visitation as needed for individuals who are ill or hospitalized.Encourages and participates in staffvolunteer fellowship and morale including birthdays, etc.Conducts staff and volunteer devotions and appropriate spiritual meetings for clients and tervenes when appropriate to resolve client conflicts from a pastoral perspective.Conducts Bible Study classes.Work with Hope Crest and Pathway of Hope families to ensure the well-being of each client.Maintains statistics on services conducted, devotions held, and work with the clients in program; submits statistics to the Supervisor monthly.What we are looking for in you:Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or Counseling is preferred but not required,AndFive years' experience participating in and leading ministerial work,OrAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Knowledge and Experience:Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission and philosophy.Knowledge of basic Bible principles.Ability to organize and coordinate worship services and special events.Ability to supervise and coordinate work of Corps members, volunteers and staff.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to promote participation in programs, worship services, Sunday school and activities.Ability to serve as an example of Salvationism and Christian stewardship and to demonstrate interest in the spiritual well being of all personnel.Ability to conduct all activities of the position with a view to accomplishing the Army's fundamental purpose of proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, which purpose must find expression in both the message proclaimed and the ministry of service performed.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to perform mathematical computations.Ability to drive a vehicle.Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.Employee BenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision InsuranceVacation, Sick, Personal and Holiday Paid Time OffRetirement PlanLife Insurance and more!To learn more about the name of program or location, click here!Why work for us?The Salvation Army offers a broad range of career opportunities, particularly targeted toward those motivated by our mission, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.The Salvation Army strives to do the "Most Good" for its employees by offering a greater sense of purpose in the work performed, by training and mentoring employees and by offering competitive compensation and benefit plans.
