JOB TITLE: Portfolio Manager of Data & AI StrategyLOCATION: New York, NY, Bethlehem, PA or Boston, MA (Hybrid)DURATION: 6 month contractPAY RANGE: $55hr- $63hrOur client has embarked on a transformation journey to modernize and to continue to build a more contemporary company focused on delivering well-being to customers and their families. Our client has a data and artificial intelligence team to drive the transformation. They are in search of a Portfolio Manager of Data and AI Strategy to help drive the transformation. This position is a unique opportunity to partner with the Data and AI team, technology leaders and business leaders to shape and influence the ongoing transformation.They are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in program and portfolio management to support this function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management and reporting of enterprise portfolio planning and delivery process. This role understands the business financial, technical, and operations contexts and drives lean governance on overall enterprise portfolio from planning through delivery. A successful candidate will have extensive experience in data and AI programs, portfolio management processes, data management, implementing governance frameworks, analytics and reporting.Responsibilities: Orchestrate portfolio planning & delivery across business, finance and technology leadership providing data-driven insights for prioritization. Manage portfolio delivery roadmap aligned to strategic objectives ensuring outcomes are implemented within schedule, financials, and scope. Manage portfolio forecasting, benefit realization progress measurement and audit compliance to portfolio governance process. Support strategic vision development, planning & tracking of portfolio through lean portfolio governance. Facilitate business case creation and changes in accordance with Enterprise Portfolio management process including capacity assessment & prioritization impacts. Foster Operational Excellence in portfolio intake through delivery process focusing on continually improving efficiency, driving consistency, and achieving business objectives. Implement processes related to Portfolio data management and solution governance requirements within various portfolio management tools including Jira, Jira Align, Service Now, etc. Examples include Portfolio Health Insights, Portfolio Pipeline, etc. Train and guide the data and AI team on the use and application of portfolio management tools. Manage transformation portfolio projects and delivery programs through the management of scope, schedule and projects. Drive Solution Governance for portfolio in alignment with Enterprise Solution Architecture connectivity framework. Manage expectations of and influence several diverse stakeholders, through effective communication to accomplish business strategic objectives through portfolio delivery.Reporting Relationships:As Portfolio Manager you will report to our Head of Enterprise Portfolio who reports to Office of Enterprise Transformation under Strategy & Operations. You will be an indirect (dotted) report to the Data and AI Operations lead within the Data and AI team.Qualifications: A Master's Degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of fifteen years of program and portfolio management. A minimum of five years recent experience leading programs through Agile SAFe Iterative Hybrid methodologies. Demonstrated an understanding of business line initiatives, and highly specialized working knowledge of program or project management methodologies (e.g., SAFe, agile, waterfall, etc.) and be comfortable working in a complex matrix environment. Demonstrated experience successfully managing large transformational programs with multiple business and technology stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in using JIRA Align, JIRA, SharePoint, and other software for portfolio, project and task management. Process Improvement methodology experience preferred (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, SAFe, etc.). An ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner. Excellent problem-solving analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail.
