Job DetailsJob LocationHuman Services - Milwaukee, WIDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Residential Program Manager in the daily operations of the Men's and Women's Residential Facilities, including the daily oversight and guidance of the Program Assistants.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Residential Program Manager in the day-to-day functions of the Residential ProgramAssist in oversight of program staffProvide daily supervision and support to program residentsclients, ensuring their safety and wellbeing Ensure confidentiality is maintained Be familiar with and implement program procedures and policiesEnsure that required individual and program record-keeping is done in a timely manner (such as end-of-shift logs, client files, and incident reports)Be available to be contacted 24 hours a day for emergencies Provide andor arrange for 24-hour emergency coverage - serve as a backup on an emergency basis.Provide andor arrange for ongoing in-house client activitiesAttend required staff meetings and trainingProvide transportation as needed Ability to work cohesively with other Lead Program Assistants and Program Assistant membersEnsure the health and safety of residents.Assist and coordinate roomhouse searches with residential case managers and Residential Program ManagerConduct weekly house meetings in house with clients and program assistant on dutyWeekly food shopping and inventory monitoring and orderingDevelop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance plan that ensures all facility standards are metCommunicate residential house needs and concerns in a timely manner with Residential Program Manager Assist with employee onboarding in-house training as it pertains to the program assistant positionOther duties as assigned by the Supervisor andor the Director of Human ServicesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESDemonstrates basic computer knowledge, basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Google formsDemonstrates the ability to multitask and prioritize work. Demonstrates the ability to work as a team, as well as independently.Demonstrate the ability to address criticism in an appropriate manner and develop constructive outcomes.Demonstrate sustained effort and enthusiasm in the quality and quantity of work.Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with staff, clients, and the community.Demonstrate the ability to follow and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Demonstrate excellent human relations and interpersonal plete accident reports when necessary.QualificationsBachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, or a related field, relevant experience in the field of substance abuse treatment may be substituted for some of the educational requirements and vice versa. Professional experience with supervision preferred. Bilingual (SpanishEnglish) is strongly desirable. Valid WI driver's license and insured vehicle.WORKING CONDITIONS:Work shifts: Mid-day 11 am-7 pm or 12 pm-8 pm. As the Residential Program is a seven-day-per-week, 24-hour operation, department business hours with work hours and days vary from week to week and include weekends and holidays. Flexibility with Program Assistant shifts call-ins and ability to adjust the schedule, as needed. Possibility of 24-hour emergency assistant needs.
