Job SummaryDates: June 30 - August 1 (with the exception of July 3rd and 4th)Time: 7:45am - 3:00pm. Location: Staff at High Jump will on site at one of three campuses University of Chicago Lab Schools (5835 South Kimbark Ave, Chicago, IL 60637) Latin School of Chicago (59 W North Blvd, Chicago, IL 60610)Francis W. Parker (330 W Webster Ave, Chicago, IL 60614)Training Dates: June 16 - June 20th (Virtual) (with the exception of Juneteenth)June 24 - 25th (In-person)Required Professional Development for High Jump Staff: June 26 - 27th (tentative)The Campus Clinician should be a certified School Psychologist, School Counselor or Social Worker that will play a vital role in providing mental health support and counseling services to students participating in our summer program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology or counseling, with experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings. This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer program. The Campus Clinician will be;Initiate opportunities to collaborate and problem-solve with High Jump Staff regarding student concernsMaintain organized documentation and records of student check-ins.Prioritize high-risk situations (e.g., crisis), and communicate with appropriate individuals in a timely manner (e.g., Case Manager, Parent).Provide case-by-case services ranging from individual counseling, identification and assessment, interventions, crisis intervention, and support for navigating referrals for community services. Organize educational opportunities (e.g., groups, lessons, discussions) surrounding topics that will develop competencies to serve the student in all contexts.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students' mental health and well-being.Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff on best practices for promoting positive mental health in the classroom.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students' mental health and well-being.
