If the chapters of your life story include caring for others and a dedicated work ethic, then we need you!Job DescriptionDirector of Nursing - LPNRN plans, organizes, develops and directs community clinical and medication programs in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and within standards of clinical practice as defined by the American Nurses Association. Informs and works collaboratively with Executive Director regarding clinical concerns and compliance issues and makes recommendations for resolution. Serves as a clinical resource for community staff.Provide nursing care to residents, including but not limited to: Completion of health assessments, completion of resident Care Plans and reviewing them with resident family members andor Power of Attorney, discussing changes in resident condition with physicians, introduce interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs, etc. Also provide medication administration and help with resident care, as neededAccountable for timely assessments and accurate care plans in the electronic health record, plus communication with Business Office Manager any additional care given for accurate resident billingMaintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for complianceMust be able to work on-call for any shift as neededQualificationsTo be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (Texas). Subject to state requirementsCurrent Nursing License for the state where the community is locatedA Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology is preferredMinimum 1-2 years of management experienceHas experience in community, acute, skilled, or long-term care settings. Possesses geriatric assessment skills. Is knowledgeable in geriatric and dementia care.Has the ability to train staff and to assess systems and implement systems.
