At the guidance of the direct supervisor you will be responsible for the origination of SBA (Small Business Administration) loans both 7a and 504. You'll be able to help contribute to this by: Job Duties:Achieving production levels through external business development activities with prospects, clients, referral sources and various community involvement activities.Work closely with location lenders to solicit SBA referrals, proving industry updates and education them on policy and procedures.Analyzing applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loans; making decisions to either: move forward with underwriting, deny or counter offer applicant as appropriate using SBA guidelines and bank policy. Ensures all decisions take into account appropriate risk factors and contribute to the overall safety and soundness of organization.Creating and maintaining referral networks with commercial real estate brokers, business brokers, businessprofessional associations, attorneys, CPA's, contractors, vendors, other banks, and any other referral sources to solicit SBA loan opportunities.Corresponding with or counseling customers in credit issues and loan requests.Developing collaborative relationships with the location staff and participate in cross-selling efforts including business lending, deposits, cash management, and personal banking, investment, and trust services.Providing reports on a periodic basis to Senior Management.Maintaining a working knowledge of lending regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position.Maintaining a positive atmosphere for customers and employees consistent with the Bank's mission and philosophy while providing enthusiastic, professional and courteous service.Continuing professional development through training, seminars, membership in professional associations, as applicable.Contributing to the fulfillment of the department and the Bank's objectives and goals.Performing as a team member, and completes any other job-related duties as ply with compliance and privacy policies and procedures to maintain confidentiality and information protection. Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and plete and pass all required regulatory compliance training as assigned.Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management.Qualifications & Skills:Advanced knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures.Business development skills.Superior loan evaluation ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer knowledge.Detail oriented and highly accurate in processing work tasks and reports.Dependable and able to meet deadlines.Self-motivated, conscientious, analytical, courteous and cooperative.Proficient knowledge of commercial lending and applicable regulations.Proficient understanding of banking principles and guidelines.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.Good interpersonal skills with a high level of customer service skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with supervisors and managers.High level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Education, Experience & Licenses:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business-related field required.Minimum of 5 Years of SBA lending experience.
