Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Engineer graduate that will be performing engineering tests and managing magnetics engineering projects associated with transformer design. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a keen interest in magnetics. This role will involve working under the supervision of a senior engineer to design, develop, and test magnetic components and systems.RequirementsKey DutiesResponsibilities •Conduct engineering tests on power conversion systems to ensure performance and reliability.•Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze test data and identify opportunities for design improvements.•Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing test procedures, results, and design modifications.•Assist in the design and development of magnetic components for transformers, including core and coil assemblies.•Perform calculations and simulations to optimize transformer designs for efficiency and performance.•Participate in cross-functional team meetings to support project planning and execution.•Stay current with industry trends and advancements in transformer and magnetics engineering.•Perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with Schumacher's purpose, core values and strategic anchors.•Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.•Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities •Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, with a preferred focus on electromagnetics andor power systems.•Hands-on experience with engineering testing equipment and software. •Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.•Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.•Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.•Eagerness to learn and develop new skills. Preferred Skills •Experience with SolidWorks.•Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to linear and switch-mode transformer design and testing.•Well-versed in Microsoft Office Products specifically Excel.•Educational background in Power Electronics andor Control Theory.•Bilingual EnglishSpanish preferred. Qualifications •Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.•Experience: No experience required•Internal applicants: 6+ months successful demonstration of current position responsibilities, approval from current manager, and a relevant combination of education, continuing education, and experience.•Candidates who do not meet the specified educational or experience requirements but possess equivalent qualifications and relevant experience may be considered for this position.
