Advancement & Community Engagement (ACE) - DevelopmentEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: New York City, New YorkReporting To: Sr Manager Development OperationsCompensation: $68,000 - $77,000 yearDescriptionThe Advancement and Community Engagement (ACE) team is responsible for raising philanthropic support and for recruiting schools to join JED's school programs. As an important member of this team, the Senior Associate of Development Operations is responsible for implementing and maintaining internal systems and processes that ensure smooth operations for philanthropy and earned income. The Senior Associate supports the team with training and data and operational support including assisting with moves management cycle for both donors and schools. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Development Operations, this position is essential for our donorprospect record keeping and reporting. This position works closely with the Salesforce Technical Administrator to ensure data integrity and scalability of our systems to support growth. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Fundraising Efforts: Assist in the planning, executing, and tracking of fundraising campaigns and events.Help manage donor databases and track gifts and pledges. Operations Coordination: Provide day-to-day operational support to the Senior Manager, including preparing reports, maintaining schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring smooth operation of fundraising and recruitment processes.Data Management: Ensure accurate tracking and management of donors and campaign data. Assist in generating reports on campaign progress, donor engagement, and fundraising outcomes as well as earned income outcomes. Perform essential list pulls, reporting, account creation, and merging in the CRM. Ensure contact information is consistently updated and retrievable Event Planning & Logistics: Assist in planning and executing fundraising events, including logistics, communications, and follow-up activities. Help with volunteer coordination, venue setup, and guest relations. Communication Support: Help create and distribute donor communication materials, including stewardship materials, thank-you notes, and event invitations. Collaborate with various team members on operations projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the Senior Manager and other team members to ensure operations align with broader organizational goals and objectives.Help troubleshoot operational challenges and streamline workflows. Assist with DonorProspect Record and School Record Management: Input contact records and meeting briefings for donor and prospect records. Oversee the mass upload process for donor interactions into the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Stewardship & Relations: Help with stewardship and donormember relations activities as assigned to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, advancing the organization's mission. Mailings & Outreach: Support mailings, outreach activities, and other administrative tasks as needed to help drive fundraising success. Donor & Member Inquiries: Professionally respond to and resolve donor and member service-related inquiries, including questions about donations, event participation, and other general issues. Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, fundraising CRM (Salesforce or similar systems), information technology, gift acceptance and processing practices, fundraising reporting, and financial reconciliation.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing processes and systems to support departmental efficiency and growth. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills and proficiency in Salesforce for nonprofits are required. The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously is important to success in this role.This position requires strong interpersonal skills, technical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with external teams. Pay Ranges Location Travel InformationPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, including typing, viewing screens, and engaging in virtual meetings.Frequent phone, email, and video conferencing communication require clear speech, active listening, and visual acuity.Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds for conference booth setup, promotional materials, or event-related tasks.Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time, which may involve extended periods of standing, walking, or transporting materials at conferences and events.Flexibility to adjust to different work environments, including home offices, shared workspaces, and on-site event locations.Pay Ranges:The range listed on this job posting is based on JED's compensation posting ranges. Salaries may be higher or lower depending on experience and geographic location.
