As they expand their litigation practice, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to join the team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the firm's presence in the New York legal market.Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be a seasoned and strategic litigator with at least 7 years of experience in real estate litigation or related civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong advocacy skills, a track record of successfully handling complex cases, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently. This role requires a self-motivated and dynamic professional who can lead cases from inception to resolution, work closely with clients, and contribute to the growing litigation practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a forward-thinking law firm that prioritizes innovation, excellence, and client success.Key Responsibilities Represent clients in a broad spectrum of real estate litigation matters, including but not limited to: Property disputes Landlord-tenant conflicts Construction litigation Zoning and land use matters Breach of contract claims Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis to develop strong litigation strategies. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements. Handle all aspects of court proceedings, trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and strategic decision-making. Provide clients with clear, actionable legal advice, keeping them informed throughout the litigation process. Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and legal actions progress effectively. Stay up to date on New York real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Qualifications & Requirements JD from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in New York State and in good standing with the New York State Bar. Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on real estate and civil litigation. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws affecting real estate litigation and contractual disputes. Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills. Exceptional legal writing and drafting abilities. Proven ability to handle high-stakes litigation and work under pressure. Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear and professional manner. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Experience in mentoring and supervising junior attorneys is a plus.
