Positions available starting January 2025!Overview:A Ticket Taker is primarily responsible to ensure that each guest entering Angel Stadium presents a valid ticket for admission and to deny entrance to all unauthorized persons.This is a bargaining unit position, and the pay rate is as follows:Current through 12312024: $16.00 per hourEffective 01012025: $16.50 per hourThis position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season).Duties:Greets all guests with a warm smile and a friendly "Welcome to Angel Stadium"ChecksScans each ticket for authenticity and proper date, time and event. Scans the ticket and returns the appropriate portion to the guestMaintain a steady movement of guests through the turnstiles. Assists any children or persons having difficulty getting through the turnstile. Directs physically challenged patrons to the proper entrances.Directs guests in the proper direction, according to their seating location. Offers any additional information to guests about the location of their seatsMaintains an understanding of all areas of the stadium. Remains aware of any special activities, functions, or promotions for the eventUnderstands and enforces all Angel Stadium policies and procedures, especially those regarding crowd control and ticketsAll other duties as assignedQualifications:Crowd Management experience for at least a year is preferredEffective communication skills (verbal)Ability to use a smartphone deviceAbility to deal diplomatically with the public, fellow employees, and supervisorsAble to work varied hours, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, graveyard shifts and holidays as required.Physical Demands:Ability to stand continuously for extended periods of time Ability to frequently bend and twist neckAbility to occasionally bendtwist waistAbility to frequently use hands in repetitive movementsAbility to work in inclement weatherThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
