We are hiring a Research Operations Manager in our New York City office.About the Role:As a Research Operations Manager, you will manage and grow a team of researchers who use our tech platform to build impactful audiences on behalf of some of the country's most prominent companies, trade associations, nonprofits and advocacy organizations, and scale the processes they use to do their jobs. In this role, you will be a critical member of research team leadership and ensure Applecart's audiences are delivered efficiently and with the highest quality. You've previously managed a team and you're excited to bring your expertise in building and running productive teams. You are naturally curious and are excited about learning, mastering and eventually improving our research processes. You are extremely organized and proactive, pay close attention to every detail within a process, and are always looking for ways to improve and streamline your and your team's work. This role will report to the Head of Research Operations. What You'll Do:Manage a team of researchers, including managing performance, identifying development areas, and providing training opportunities for team membersGain a deep understanding of our internal tech platform and architecture and ensure team knowledge as the platform evolvesPrioritize and direct daily activities and ensure efficient team operations to deliver client audiences on timeExperiences and Capabilities You Bring:5+ years of work experience, including 3+ years of people leadership experience with an early career teamAbility to assess and manage team members' performance, as well as coach and train on best practicesStrong ability to proactively recognize procedural issues or inefficiencies, in order to resolve or escalate accordingly Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyExperience with creating efficient workflows to disperse team tasksStrong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in ExcelHistory of being a self-starterThis is a hybrid role. Work from home or in the office on Monday and Friday, and in Applecart's New York City office Tuesday through Thursday. Compensation:Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.The base salary range for this role is between $100,000-$130,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed above. The salary range provided is exclusive of discretionary annual cash bonus and equity compensation.
