The Evening Coordinator supervises and coordinates activities of assigned case managers and counselors, oversees activities of the consumers and monitors physical plant conditions that impact the safety and security of consumers, staff and facility assets. This includes hands-on assistance with daily living skills, including but not limited to hygiene, upkeep of physical space and living environment (including bed-bug prevention and treatment), laundry, shopping, meal planning and preparation, cooking, housekeeping, and traveling.ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:1. Assists in Providing Clinical ServicesAssigns and coordinates staff activitiesProvides clinical oversightEnsures staff operate according to all state and federal regulations and ICL policies and proceduresResponsible for ensuring accuracy of and timely completion of required clinical documentationResponsible for ensuring service plans and goals are implemented as written and overseeing revisions to plans and goals as necessaryEnsures appropriate crisis intervention occurs as neededEnsures staff receive relevant information regarding clinical treatment, program operations, community providers and resourcesProvides direct care coverage as neededServes as Manager on Duty as assignedAssists in the admission and orientation of new consumers2. Assists in Directing and Supervising StaffWith the Program Director's authority establishes and maintains work schedules in accordance with ICL policies and proceduresEnsures assigned staff's compliance with agency time and attendance policyConducts staff supervision in accordance with division expectations and ICL proceduresWith the Program Director's approval conducts disciplinary action as neededAssists in the recruitment, selection, training and orientation of new employees3. Assists in Providing Quality Management Overnight Assists in ensuring program is in compliance with all state and federal regulations and all ICL policies and procedures Ensures that Plans of Corrective Action are implemented and adhered to Regularly reviews and monitors staff activities and makes recommendations to Program Director Participates in all activities to improve quality of services provided.4. Assists in Fostering Community RelationsAssists in the promotion of Mental Health and Wellness management in local communities, acts as liaison to community providers, community boards, elected officials, neighbors and emergency services providersEducates staff on the importance of maintaining positive relations with all factions of the communityCooperates with other organizations in the development of long range plans for mental health program development and wellness management.Other tasks related to the job, as assignedMINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in a recognized mental health discipline (social work, psychology, nursing, rehab counseling, etc.) plus a minimum of 3 years' experience providing direct services to individuals with mental illness; or an Associate's degree and 5 years social services experience, including 3 years' experience providing direct services to individuals with mental illness. Master's Degree and supervisory experience preferred.
