No Duties and Responsibilities The Assistant Director is a critical member of the Financial Aid team, providing guidance to undergraduate and graduate students in all aspects of financing a Loyola University education.Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide excellent customer service to students and parents via phone, e-mail, walk-in, and other forms of engagement regarding all financial aid mattersConducts file review, preforms professional judgement, completes verification, and updates award packaging as requiredMonitorsmaintains application statuses within the student information systemAccess federal and state systems (COD, NSLDS, GAP Access, FSA, etc.) to verify student aid eligibilitySupports the Financial Aid Office by managing specific program area(s) such as R2T4, SAP, FWS, Scholarships, Consortium, Veterans, etc.Supports the University through presentations to various public audiences including FAFSA workshops, financial wellness programs, orientations, and other admission events.Collaborate with campus partners to provide a holistic approach to servicePerforms other duties as required. Minimum Education andor Work Experience Bachelor's degree in related field and three - five years of related experience, or a combination of education and work experience . A solid knowledge of federal and state regulations is essential.Qualifications Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a mustCustomer service experience preferredMust be able to work with a diverse student populationAbility to think critically with an eye for detailAdaptable to changeMust be able to work as part of a diverse teamSupport students and families from all backgroundsStrong working knowledge of federal and state regulations is essential.Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced environmentPeopleSoft experience highly preferred.
