PurposeScope: This position will be a developmental opportunity for future Field Superintendents of which the necessary training and experience to fill a Field Superintendent position through mentoring and practical experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Field Superintendent with daily activities including, but not limited to, crew scheduling, ordering of equipment, field planning (SAP plans, rigging plans, etc.)Inspect project site prior to delivery scheduling of crews to ensure site readinessAssist Field Superintendent and Project Manager in Managing safe execution of job completion within 10 & Out goalsAttend project site meetings as necessaryAttend weekly scheduling meetingsProvide feedback to Field Superintendent and Project Manager on current status of project and completion dateSupervise field crews to ensure safe work environment and execution of projectAssist with Superintendent, Project Manager, and Foremen in the pre-planning of projectsCommitment to safety policies that establish a culture of a safe work environment, customer satisfaction, first time quality, and efficiencySelf-motivated and flexible within work environmentOther projects and duties as assignedBasic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentThree (3) years of experience in the construction industry and field operationsOther Required Qualifications: Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)The ability to work with a variety of peopleMust be open minded and have the ability to work effectively in stressful situationsEffectively communicate with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing as well as outside the organizationWorks effectively as part of a team as a leader or contributorWell organized and sensitive to deadlinesPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeExperience in the concrete andor precast industryOSHA 10-hour certificationPhysical Requirements: Ability to travel approximately 60% of the timeMust be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awarenessdepth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailerWork Environment: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirtdust, noise from heavy machineryvehicles Equal Opportunity EmployerProtected VeteransIndividuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
