Location: HQ - Williamsburg, BrooklynStatus: 100% on-siteCompensation: $85,000Position Summary: Kith is seeking a Kids Designer to join the team. This person will report to the Design Director for Kids Apparel Division.What You'll Do:Collaborates with the Design Director each season to research, develop and design collectionsHelps to manage the design process from initial sketch to productionCreate tech packs, manage BOMs in PLM system.Accurately sizes graphic and textiles according to designsCommunicates with overseas and internal partners on updates as changes occur in the assortmentPartner with Tech Design for anything fit related in seasonal developmentActively participates and takes detailed notes in meetingsHelp execute tasksprojects with critical attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet all department deadlines.Partner with Tech Design for anything fit related in seasonal developmentSkills You Possess:Experience:4-6 years of experience working in the apparel industry,Must be comfortable in working on all product categories: wovens & knits w some sweater experienceHighly Proficient in Adobe w strong focus on Illustrator sketching and Photoshop edits where neededStrong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim, and print techniquesSkills:Must be flexible to meet demands of deadlines.Ability to handle multiple tasksprojectsHigh taste level that elevates kids marketGood organizational time management and communicationContribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessaryWho You Are:Professional Characteristics:Self-starterTeam playerResourcefulPersonal Characteristics:Positive w a Focus on Team Oriented SuccessPassionateCuriousWHO WE AREEstablished in 2011, Kith is a leading lifestyle brand and progressive retail concept that's celebrated globally for its ability to tell stories, evoke nostalgia, and connect product to the passion it's woven with.
