Apply before 11:59 PM Arizona time the day before the posted End Date.Job Profile:Service and Support Assistant 2 Non-ExemptJob Family:Service and SupportTime Type:Full timeMax Pay - Depends on experience:$20.00 USD HourlyJob Description:The Field Service Specialist is responsible for coordinating customer service at a high-volume parking facility for ASU Parking and Transit Services (PTS). This role ensures the proper functioning of parking equipment, including gate arms, ticket dispensers, and fee computers. The position also involves assisting customers with parking inquiries, offering campus information, and performing basic equipment maintenance.This role requires working outdoors throughout the shift in various weather conditions. The schedule is Saturday - Wednesday, 6:15am - 2:45pm.Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.Essential Duties:Assist customers in using PARCS equipment at pay-on-foot locations and in the office.Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers.Perform basic maintenance on equipment (e.g., clearing ticket dispensers, adjusting gate arms).Report complex issues to the supervisor.Help manage traffic flow during busy entryexit periods, ensuring efficient parking and space utilization.Provide general information about the campus, parking alternatives, and directions.Perform light cleaning and trash pickup to maintain the parking facility's appearance.Use two-way radios and telephones to respond to customer queries and communicate with team members.Adapt to changing priorities and resolve customer conflicts as they arise.Desired Qualifications:Experience handling credit card transactions in a retail or service environment.Previous work in a parking operation (university, city, or airport).Knowledge of maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment.Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong attention to detail and experience with loss prevention.1-2 years of customer service experience in a high-volume setting.Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license (Class D).Working Environment:Work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions (heat, rain, wind).Frequently bend, lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds.Operate ASU vehicles or carts safely, getting in and out frequently.May occasionally work in an office environment, using a computer for record-keeping.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma and two-years (2) experience appropriate to the area of assignmentfield; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience andor training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.Driving Requirement:This position may require driving.
