This position involves assisting in the management of student safety and welfare, the delivery of the academic programme, and the enhancement of relationships, ultimately contributing to a transformative and enriching experience for all students.The role is well-suited for an experienced leader in education who is eager to work with international students, lead a passionate team and operate in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:Student Safety:Support the oversight of safety measures and adherence to safeguarding policies throughout the entire program.Collaborate with the Programme Director to respond effectively to any safety concerns, prioritizing the well-being of all participants.Contribute to the implementation of a safe environment for students and staff members.Work with the other members of the campus management team to ensure all national, State and company compliance needs are met throughout the programme run. Representing Oxford Royale:Uphold the company's reputation by embodying its values when interacting with students, staff, and third parties.Assist in working closely with the host venue conference team, responding to requests, addressing concerns, and offering support in problem-solving.Foster positive relationships with external entities, such as guest speakers and members of the public.Ensure professionalism and the company's standards are upheld at all times by staff and students in interactions with internal and external partners.Student Experience:Have complete familiarity with the weekly timetable and the marketing messaging at all times to ensure the client expectations are met.Support the leadership and mentorship of a team of teachers in implementing the academic curriculum, providing assistance in day-to-day teaching skills, and aiding in planning lectures, practicals, and trips.Contribute to the oversight of activities, events, and coach excursions to ensure a well-rounded enrichment experience for students.Assist in ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of service to meet the expectations of the clients and partners.Collaboration and Leadership:Assist in the management of on-campus staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Ensure all assigned direct managees (either the campus facilitators or academic faculty) are performing according to their job descriptions and to the required standards.Support the PD in resolving internal staff challenges professionally and efficiently with minimal interruptions to client experience or partner relationships. Maintain a professional working environment amongst staff while delivering at the highest standards of academic excellence.Provide support for the Programme Director at all times. Administration, Systems and Compliance:Support the Programme Director with all summer programme compliance requirements.Keep records and written reports of all incidents. Conduct Appraisals of direct managees.Ensure that student reports, awards and certificates are completed to a high standard. Position Details:Based at summer site at Barnard College, Columbia University.Exempt role for the duration of the programme, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.Mandatory training and campus setup before student arrivals (Week of June 23rd-29th)Salary: $2000week, exempt role.Session Dates:Session 1: June 29th - July 12thSession 2: July 13th - July 26thEssential Qualifications ExperienceSenior educational programme management experience working with the age group hosted at the chosen campus (16-18).Education administration experience as an Academic Dean or in a comparable academic setting.A completed teacher training course or suitable equivalent.A university degree.Desirable ExperienceA graduate degree, preferably in education.Familiarity or in depth understanding of the host university.Knowledge of the international education industry and how residential courses operate.Experience mentoring or supporting teacher development.Understanding of the compliance needs and requirements in the State of the host University.We incorporate equality into all we do, making every effort to eliminate discrimination, create equal opportunities and develop good working relationships.
