Description: CivilStructural Substation EngineerPosition Title: CivilStructural Substation EngineerLocation: Philadelphia, PADepartment: EngineeringReports To: Engineering ManagerPosition Summary:A highly skilled and motivated CivilStructural Substation Engineer is needed to join our engineering team in Philadelphia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and management of civil and structural components of electrical substations. This role involves collaborating with other engineering disciplines, preparing detailed engineering designs, and ensuring projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Design and Analysis:Develop and review civil and structural designs for substation projects, including foundations, steel structures, and site development.Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of substation components.Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed design drawings and specifications.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate civilstructural designs with electrical municate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.Provide technical support and guidance to project pliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify design implementation and quality.Prepare and review engineering reports, documentation, and novation and Improvement:Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and project efficiency.Propose innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.LicensesCertifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred but not required.Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000), CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation), and other relevant engineering tools.Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry standards and codes such as ASCE, AISC, ACI, and NESC.Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong organizational munication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team pensation:Competitive salary starting at $130,000+, depending on experience and prehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.APPLY NOW!
