Shop Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosure.Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.The primary focus will be spent wiring panels therefore it is imperative that candidate be proficient at wiring.Layout of components in various size cabinets.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1 year panel assembly experienceHigh school diploma GEDKnowledge and experience with electrical wiring, control panels and instrumentation,BEHAVIORSExceptional communication skills.Ability to trouble shoot and strong attention to detail.Excellent technical skills and the ability to interpret schematics.A drive to succeed in a team environment.The ability to provide superior service.Self-Starter and the ability to keep moving forward with minimal direction.
