As a Sales Rep, you will be responsible for meeting one-on-one with faculty or hosting presentations, lunches, workshops, or book fairs to further adoptions of OUP texts. You'll be providing pedagogical solutions to institutional challenges, directly impacting what and how students are learning. Promote Oxford's college materials to current and prospective adopters.Calls are made via well-planned campus visits, telephone, and email. Plan and execute sales plan under the direction of sales management. Extensive travel required during peak seasons.Build and maintain relationships with instructors of university and community college programs and bookstore managers, and LMS administrators within an assigned territory.Achieve sales goal by selling Higher Education materials through strategic management of territory with use of appropriate selling skillsThoughtfully plan territory activity in Salesforce as a precursor to sales calls.Ensuring that territory bookstores are set up to deliver on adoptions and LMS integrations are in place. Maintain accurate contact and adoption information in our data management system, .Pro-actively increase product knowledge individually and through participation in all sales meetings or conference calls.ABOUT YOUIndividuals wishing to apply for this position should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, adept at time management, independent, and persuasive. Candidates should be familiar with consultative selling techniques and take interest in assisting professors with providing the highest quality educational experience possible.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience2 to 4+ year's successful sales experience Proficient in PC environment with working knowledge of MS Office, and ideally A valid driver's license is requiredAbility to work independentlyThis position may require overnight travel during peak seasonsField-based sales experience strongly preferredSales experience in the publishing industry preferredExperience with Learning Management Systems preferredBENEFITSWe care about worklife balance at OUP.
