Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Work Shifts8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.MJob DescriptionPURPOSEOFPOSITION:Under the supervision of the performs a variety of ultrasound procedures to assist in medical diagnosis and assessment.AREASOFRESPONSIBILITIES:Adult Pediatric Inpatient and outpatient servicesSUMMARYOFDUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties of the Echocardiogram Technician level I may include, but are not limited to:The ability to perform all of the major duties and functions of an Echocardiogram Technician including but not limited to Transthoracic echocardiogram, bubble study, strain imaging, Definity and stress echocardiogram.All laboratory duties delegated by the Director of Cardiology and Lead SonographerDelegation, when warranted, of specific responsibilities to the technical andor ancillary staff.Operation and maintenance of the laboratory equipment.Supervision of sonography students.Working collaboratively with the Medical Director, lead sonographer, medical, nursing, administrative and technical staff to ensure quality patient care. Responsible to maintain current technical training for hisher position to include at the very least 30 hours of echocardiograph related continuing education over a period of three (3) years, and all hours must be relevant to echocardiography; participate in the echocardiographic departmental conferences and in quality assurance activities; and yearly accumulated continuing education must be kept on file and available for submission upon request.Appropriate credentialing in echocardiography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.Minimum Qualifications1. Valid certification in Sonography issued by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and2.
