Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job Responsibilities:The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible to lead, manage, and drive all activities of those engaged in engineering and repair activities to meet productivity, quality, financial, and safety targets. They will work collaboratively with the Management team to achieve business objectives.General Responsibilities:Manage the Manufacturing Engineering Team by establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, coaching, assessing annual performance and determining individual merit, incentive, andor promotional increasesCoordinate Program Reviews (Internal and Executive Reviews) with cross functional team with defined expectationsAssist in daily support to various Manufacturing ProcessesEvaluate optimize build process to ensure product compliance to drawing and applicable manufacturing and design standardsLead continuous improvement actions and productivity improvement initiativesLead in problem solving efforts to improve product quality & cost and reduce cycle time in Production CellResponsive and proactive to production requests for support; investigate technical problems, identify root causes and implement corrective & containment actionsActively support Lean, Six Sigma, in all Manufacturing ProcessesParticipate in make buy equipment decisions. Assist in resolving supplier technical issues arising from deviation requests, design ambiguities and produce abilityEducation and ExperiencePost-secondary education in Industrial Mechanical Electrical Engineering requiredMinimum of 10 - 12 years Engineering and Manufacturing experience required in the Automotive andor Automotive Supply Base sector focusing on Assembly Methods, Molding, Coating and ToolingKnowledge of Problem Solving methods (Red X, Six Sigma, 8D, etc...) required Knowledge of Customer Specific requirements (TS16949 ISO9000 ISO 14001) and industry StandardsKnowledge and execution experience as it relates to APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process FlowAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
