Pennoni is currently looking for a Graduate Bridge Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:Assisting with the structural analysis andor design of Bridges (Highway and Railroad), Culverts, Retaining Walls, and Overhead Sign Structures on various bridge replacementrehabilitation projects, highway improvement projects and multi-disciplinary projects for PENNDOT and other agencies throughout the Mid-Atlantic RegionPerforming NBIS Bridge inspections in Philadelphia and the surrounding states with occasional opportunities for domestic travelProducing high quality technical writing for use in bridge inspection reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documentsRequired Attributes:Basic knowledge of Civil Engineering principles such as structural analysis, steelconcrete design, basic hydrologyhydraulics, and basic geotechnicalfoundation designGeneral knowledge of MicroStation andor AutoCAD with experience with plan production preferredAbility to learn and apply new skills while simultaneously looking for and seizing opportunities to improve work productsLeadership qualities and excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and written skillsWorking in a team environment under the supervision and mentorship of Senior EngineersWorking on multiple assignments concurrently with varying complexity and differing job responsibilities Preferred Attributes:Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural EngineeringSuccessful completion of FHWA-NHI-13005 (Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges)Prior bridge engineering experience with DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, andor PennDOTKnowledge and experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, LEAP Bridge, LEAP Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, BRASS, etcPrior experience with BrIM or BIM work processes andor modelingProduces high quality technical writing for use in bridge inspection reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documentsAbility to work on multiple concurrent assignments within a team teracting in the engineering community via leadership positions in professional societies is preferred and encouraged.Why Pennoni?At Pennoni, we're not just another multi-disciplinary engineering firm; we're a vibrant team of innovators shaping the future!
