APStaff Accountant (New York, NY) FLSA Status: Exempt Glencore is a natural resource energy trading company. Our back office supports our US trading and operations staff.Position Responsibilities: Accounts Payable BookReview Overhead AP billsReview and input Travel & Entertainment reports for corporate credit card and employee expensesProcess invoices for payment ACHWireCheckReview open AP items for agingWork with other departments to ensure payments are processed and paid timelyReview purchase ordered accruedMonth-end closing Perform bank reconciliations and research differencesProjects Assist with cash related testing; Treasury softwareAccounting software (SAP) testingPrepare ad-hoc reports based on manager or group needsPosition Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in AccountingStrong computerexcel skills for using financial accounting systems, spreadsheets, and other software.Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.Ability to monitor and control daily anized and Detail orientedStrong verbal and written communication skills.Capable of working independently and within a team environmentStrong Analytical skillsGood interpersonal skills and professional demeanorSAP knowledge a plusCompensation: This position can expect between $65-75K annual salary. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
