Job DetailsJob LocationUS Foods - Aurora, IL - Aurora, ILPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionSUMMARYThe Resident Automation Technician III supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site's performance through trouble-shooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician III must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible. Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as plete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems. Lead maintenance efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues requiring in-depth technical knowledge.Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations. Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable. Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTSEducation: Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience: Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousingdistribution, or related environments. Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrated knowledge of electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, ASRS, and shuttle systems.Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) andor Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience. Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.Knowledge of Profibus and Profinet. Excellent communication skills and customer service skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.)Ability to travel up to 10%.PLC programming and troubleshooting knowledge preferred.
