Leidos QTC Health Services is looking to expand the Travel Team with an experienced and tech savvy Class A Driver in the Northeast Region. Travel a minimum of 85% regionally to support Mobile Clinical Operations (MCO) and more importantly.....to support our veterans!The ideal candidate will reside in a Northeast state, live within 50 miles of a major airport; have a valid and clean Class A license; and be technically savvy!Leidos QTC Health Services collaborates closely with government and non-government customers to address current and future program needs within the health services domain. Visit for more information In this rewarding role, you will:Operate a company vehicle to safely transport medicallogistical spaceequipment and staff to events via interstate commerceCommunicate with operational teams via cell phoneemail in regards to timely information concerning logistical movementsMaintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulationsPerform all required vehicle inspections as prescribed by local, state and federal requirementsMaintain all required travel logs and other required paperwork in an electronic format through cloud based technologiesMaintain full service of the vehicle (e.g., regular scheduled maintenance, routine checks of tires, batteries, fluid levels, cleaning and overall appearance, etc.)Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vehicleInitiate contact with required agencies and organizations for contingency plans (accident, severe weather, etc.)Be responsible for route adherence for logistical movementsBe responsible for maintaining appropriate level of medical supplies and able to liftmove medical and or power equipment weighing up to 70 poundsPerform all other duties and responsibilities as assignedHave the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and multiple concurrent overnight stays in multiple citiesstatesHave the ability to drive for extended hours per Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelinesHave knowledge of DOT commercial vehicle regulationsHave effective verbal and written communication skillsHave the ability to complete company expense reports in a timely manner according to company policyYou must havebe:A High School Diploma, or GED3 to 5 years of commercial driving experienceAn ability to pass DOT medical examination for commercial drivers21 years of age or older, as outlined by the DOTA valid Class A Commercial Drivers License and a clean driving record for 3 to 5 yearsA valid U.S. Drivers License and abilitywillingness to drive between work locationsResidency within 50 miles or less from a major airportAn ability to pass background check including random drug testing and maintain drug free required by DOTThis role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels.
