In addition to our Restaurant and Market, we will be hosting a variety of banquets and events in creating memorable experiences.Job SummaryThe Barista's purpose is to serve food and beverages in The Pantry, our grab and go marketcoffee shop, and to provide exceptional customer service. The goal is to provide a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy a delicious coffee drink and light snackmeal.JDM Golf Teammates will role model the core values and behaviors by:Cultivating a positive work environment.Being efficient with time at municating effectively with management, co-workers, and guests.Being flexible.Maintaining integrity in all conversations and actions.Consistently reporting to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.Following internal procedures and external regulations; and reporting issues to management.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee's position.Customer Service:Greet guests members in a warm and friendly manner.Answer questions about the municate customer feedback to managers, as necessaryMake recommendations based on customer preferences.Operational:Prepare and serve a variety of teas and coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, and latte.Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.Operate coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and other caf equipment.Handle cash transactions, debit and credit payments; and maintain accurate records of sales.Tracking and ordering inventory for the food and beverage supplies, such as coffee, milk, napkins, cups, retail items, etc.Cleaning equipment and countertops, restocking supplies, sanitizing work areas 4Keeping The Pantry clean and stocked including sweeping floorsOther:May be scheduled to work at banquet events.Participates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.Performs other duties, as assigned.QualificationsEducation and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred.Skills and AbilitiesPossess strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service - should be friendly, approachable, and attentive.Has basic coffee knowledge, such as how to prepare common coffee beverages.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Strong teamwork abilities to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.Strong communication skills including effective listening.Highly organized to manage the PantryFlexible and adaptable to changes in workflow, menu items, staff, etc.Ability to remain calm during peak hours or challenging guests or members. Comfortable in upselling.Demonstrated working knowledge of food handling regulations.Basic math puter SkillsRequired:Ability to use Point of Sale (POS) SystemAbility to use employee self-service on company's human resourcespayroll databaseCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsRequired: Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver's license. Unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications. Must meet age requirements to handle and serve alcoholic beverages. Must be at least 19 years of age.OtherRegular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, extreme temperatures may be part of the environment.Work requires exposure to temperatures sufficiently high to cause bodily discomfort.
