American Welding and Gas is currently looking for Specialty Gas Account Manager to work in our Chicago Il area.This position is responsible for increasing specialty gas sales and gross margins by establishing new customers and expanding business with existing customers within an assigned territory. This position requires the ability to sell our complete line of specialty gases and specialty gas equipment to a diverse customer base.Duties & ResponsibilitiesGrow the territory business through solution selling of specialty gas products, specialty gas equipment, and technology to new and existing customersDevelop and execute plans to grow specialty gas sales through new product channels.Develop and execute plans to maintain and grow assigned specialty gas customers. (Assigned customers will typically only be those customers gained in the position) Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions and project scope with existing and new customersUtilize Outlook, Call Proof, or other company designated CRM platforms for planning, scheduling, and professional time management of the assigned sales territoryDevelop long term relationships with strategic customers, facilitating product supply agreements, and developing a sales territory customer portfolio with long term targeted customersActively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to help minimize working capital investment and financial riskRespond to and solve customer complaints by deploying necessary company resourcesMaintain and demonstrate a positive attitude with all associates, customers, vendors and other business partnersMeet goals and objectives set by and with managementPerform administrative duties such as managing expenses through Concur, completing sales profitability analysis for proposal review, completing customer pricing and data sheets for computer contracts, etcOther duties as assignedQualifications & Education RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience1-3 years of previous sales experienceKnowledge of gas products strongly preferredGas sales experience strongly preferredSuccessful track record of managing a sales territoryStrong time and management skillsCritical thinking skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsPreferred SkillsGoal orientedInterpersonal skillsProficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPointSales process trainingKnowledge and understanding of financial accounting terms and principals including gross margin, gross margin percent, operating income, return on investment, internal rate of return, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statementAdditional NotesTravel requirementsOvernight travel may be requiredAmerican Welding & Gas is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.
