We also encourage women, veterans, members of the LGBTQIA community, and those with disabilities to apply.The Exhibitor Services Specialist I assists in providing customer service and support for the operation of the service desk during move-in, event, and move-out days of exhibitor events to respond to inquiries and request for Convention Center services and equipment. This position is intermittent and subject to irregular hours to meet the business and service hours of events.Work Location: This position works on-site only.The City of Minneapolis does not sponsor applicants for work visas. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist exhibitors with orders for electrical, water, drain, compressed air, gas, cleaning, and parking services using the Center's Event Business Management System (UB).Enter and process exhibitor orders.Maintain Exhibitor Service office during move in, show event times, and move out to respond to exhibitors inquires and requests for Convention Center services, equipment, and to assist exhibitors with freight, decorator supplies, and general directions about the Convention Center.Respond to questions from exhibitors regarding payment, layout, policies, and procedures.Receive requests from exhibitors to addchangedelete utility and related services, arrange for work to be done via established communication methods and perform necessary computer data entry to account for the changes. Audit actual services used by exhibitors by doing booth checks during shows and comparing use to orders and make appropriate adjustments including collection of additional fees or reductions.Assist in verifying order entry and appropriate charges for completed shows in order to generate invoices. Provide copies of invoices and billing statements as requested. Required QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum Experience: One year of clerical experience in a customer service capacity.LicensesCertifications: NAEquivalencyAn equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.Selection ProcessThe selection process will consist of a rating of relevant education and experience (100%). Only those candidates who attain a passing score (70%) on each step in the selection process will be placed on the eligible list. Eligible List StatementThe names of applicants who meet minimum qualification and who pass the screening process shall be placed on the eligible list for employment consideration. This list will be certified to the hiring manager who may use the list to fill a vacancy of the same job title. This eligible list will expire two (2) months after it has been established.
