What You'll Do This position will be responsible for overseeing a team of paid social strategy & buying professionals, in addition to overseeing strategic client approaches, integrated with all digital channels under the Performance Group (Paid Search, Programmatic, Social, Affiliate). They will take a lead role in agency and client education in the social space, along with leading New Business pitching and onboarding for the channel. Paid Social Strategy - 25% Team Development & Management -25% Strategic Leadership - 20% Relationship Development - 20% Agency Stewardship - 10% Implement short- and long-term team planning, integrating Paid Social with all channels in the Performance GroupOversee Quality Control and Team processes operations ensuring client output performance is strong and accurateMaintain oversight on strategic outputs and plans for Performance clientsProvide active voice in communication optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunitiesServe as senior client contact for all channel needs, delegating day to day responsibilities to team, ensuring client satisfaction and retentionLeads channel specific inputs for all New Business pitches, as well as being the initial client lead of all New Business onboarding inside Paid SocialDevelops partnerships with internal agency and department stakeholders to identify dept growth opportunities and solutionsSustains balanced work structures and staff resources in a service driven team with fluctuating, real time and seasonal needsManages team to maintain talent growth and retention, providing career guidance, development training and oversight; Covering a Bi-Coastal TeamMaintain and approve team finance and forecasting documents, working closely with the Finance group to monitor hiring, profitability and resourcesRepresent Marketplace and Social teams at all agency level training and education sessions, providing a clear path to social success for digital and brand colleaguesCultivate and Maintain external vendor and partner relationshipsMaintain oversight over team POV generationRemains current in an ever-changing landscape; is a domain expert on all things paid social including but not limited to Brand Safety, Measurement, Competitive Insights etc.This position will directly supervise Director and below level employees.Who You Are A social guru, passionate about the social media landscapeA strategic thought leaderA forward-thinking innovator, eager to challenge the status quoA data driven, problem solver with foresight and the ability to develop creative solutionsA collaborative team-oriented manager, with strong delegation and organization skillsAn effective communicator with strong verbal and written skillsConfident in navigating conversations with senior leadership internally and externallyAble to quickly learn new services and dashboardsAble to train staff on new ad product offerings and dashboardsAble to educate and explain the role of Paid Social in service of client's objectivesA supporter of and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusionPreferred Skills & Experience Degree in marketing, social media marketing, digital marketing preferred9+ years of related work experience in online advertising environments (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)Strong client-facing voice and experience being a client and team lead in Paid SocialProficiency with Excel and ForecastingDirect hands-on experience in online advertising environments having directly managed a high volume of paid social buys (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) preferred, but not requiredTrouble-Shooting skills related to Social platforms, Ads APIs and New Product releasesCertificates, licenses and registrations NA Physical Activity and Work Environment NA The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
