This job opportunity's compensation is fully commission-based and may include pre-approved expenses covered. The Ticket Sales and Sponsor Relationship Manager will work closely with the General Manager, Director of Operations and Marketing Director and will be involved in the sales and marketing strategy of the New York Empire. This individual will support the team by growing fan attendance and team sponsorship - developing the Empire into a household name in New York City and surrounding communities.The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a consistent structure, can-do attitude, and top-notch creative execution. Moreover, this individual must take initiative independently and manage ambiguity while embodying the vision, mission, and core values of the New York Empire ultimate frisbee team.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping effective ticket sales, group sales, and fan engagement strategiesWork with senior management to outline a ticket sales strategy; Recommend strategies for increasing ticket sales and fan attendanceDevelop various marketing strategies to increase ticket sales and drive attendance at Houston Havoc gamesEstablish relationships with local New Rochelle New York City organizations and companies to promote group ticket salesUtilize an assortment of sales strategies to reach out and increase fan attendance through a number of media - phone calls, personal meetings, social media outreach, direct emailsMaintain relationships with ticket buyers - ensuring they have a seamless first experience at New York Empire gamesIdentify and evaluate emerging social channels, features, applications, platforms, tools, and strategies; implement when beneficial to strategic objectivesTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) for each various sales strategies, such as: audience growth, reach, engagement, response rate, and fan feedback to measure return on investment (ROI) and program effectivenessBuild Sponsorship Opportunities and Manage Sponsor Relationships:Develop a list of potential Sponsors in the New RochelleNYC communitiesReach out to potential sponsors in New Rochelle and NYC, and pitch various sponsorship engagement opportunitiesWork with senior management to optimize sponsorship package offerings, and custom-tailor sponsorships as needed for potential sponsorsDevelop and Update sponsorship procurement decks on a per client basis (as needed)Sponsor Assurance - ensure that sponsor obligations are being met (advertising, social media, tickets, etc.)Maintain relationships with sponsors - keep consistent engagement with sponsors and ensure the relationship with the sponsors is healthyIdentify and evaluate emerging social channels, features, applications, platforms, tools, and strategies; implement when beneficial to strategic objectivesQualificationsMajor in sports marketing, sales, or business preferredStrongly self-motivated - this is a fully commission-based sales positionExperience in salesExperience in managing customer relations and maintaining professional relationshipsExperience in tracking KPI'sBasic proficiency with graphic design software preferredMust be able to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at the same timeIncredible attention to detailStrong problem solving and communication skillsAbility to commit to March - August at minimum, but year round is also an option.
