Project Accountant

Our client, which is a growing super-regional architectureengineering firm, is looking to make an additional to their NYC based project accounting team based on growth in the business and a strong pipeline of projects over the next five years. We are looking for a high-caliber person, with relevant project accounting experience that desires a hybrid schedule and a stable organization. The leadership of this group has been in place for a number of years and they provide an environment that also personal and professional growth. This position is located in NYC on a hybrid schedule. Salary: Low $80K - low $90K plus bonus Responsibilities: Tr ack project budgets and expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial policies. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including forecasts and variances. Manage accounts payable and receivable related to projects, ensuring timely processing. Collaborate with project managers to analyze financial performance and provide insights. Assist in month-end closing processes and prepare journal entries as needed. Support audits and prepare documentation related to project finances. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2 - 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
