SENIOR ACCOUNTANTAdagio Health Inc is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Senior Accountant to join our central office in Pittsburgh, PA. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and supports the organization's financial operations and strategic decision-making.RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral Ledger & Reconciliations: Prepares monthly general ledger reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts.Month-End & Year-End Processes: Coordinates month-end and year-end close processes, including reviewing bank reconciliations, journal entries, and updating the organization's general and subsidiary ledgers.Financial Statements: Collaborates with the CFO to create financial statements required for month-end and year-end close, board meetings, grantorfunder policies, and lenders. This includes drafting trial balances, revenue and expense reports, and balance sheets.Accounting Policies & Procedures: Assists with reviewing and maintaining accounting policies, ensuring compliance with new funding requirements.Audit Coordination: Prepares work for annual audits and interim reviews by coordinating with independent auditing firms and providing necessary support schedules and analyses.Budget Preparation: Supports budget preparation for the organization, directly owned and managed sites, and various programs.Fixed Asset Management: Maintains fixed asset records in accounting software and calculates monthly depreciation.Tax Reporting: Prepares IRS forms including W-2s, 1099s, and 941s.Grant Administration: Manages the monthly preparation of grant draws or reimbursement invoices for various grantors and funders, ensuring detailed record-keeping and supporting documentation.QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR ACCOUNTANTA bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with 3-5 years of related work experience preferred. Experience with automated financial accounting systems and third-party automated billing processes strongly desired. Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel and excellent communication skills are required.
