Salary: $103,056.09 - $154,585.26 AnnuallyLocation : Treasure IslandJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 2023-00134Department: FinanceOpening Date: 01152025Closing Date: ContinuousFLSA: Exempt General Description Under the general direction of the City Manager, the Finance Director is responsible for the City's professional and administrative work in directing the activities of the Finance Department including budget, and financial and accounting activities. Work requires considerable independent judgment following established guidelines, codes, rules and policies, and monitoring of a variety of complex projects and programs that support the goals and objectives of the City. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.Direct the financial administration of the CitySupervise the collection of all monies, including tax collections and collection of license fees and revenuesSupervise the disbursement of City fundsMaintain general accounting system for the City government and units thereofCompile fiscal estimates and fiscal reportsAct as custodian of all funds belonging to or under the control of the City or City government unitsDirect cash managementDirect and performs investment activities and bond management programsPrepare budgets and establishing controls for budget administrationConfer with City Manager and department heads regarding fiscal and accounting policies, procedures and problemsCoordinate annual financial audit.Prepare annual budget.Train, supervise and evaluate subordinates.Establish departmental policies and procedures.Prepare agenda items and present to various boards and the City CommissionDevelop and implement public private partnershipsPerform related tasks as required.
