Employees in this class are responsible for supervising primary functional areas within a major section. Supervising the activities of an administrative andor technical staff as well as providing technical and procedural guidance to contractors, business representatives, departmental officials and the public are significant aspects of the work. CIVIL SERVICE STATUS - Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the Department of Licenses and Inspections with a performance rating of Satisfactory or higher CODE VIOLATIONS SPECIALTY:2. EDUCATION: Completion of an associate's degree program at an accredited college or university.AND3. EXPERIENCE: One year of experience as an L&I Code Administrator.ORThree years as an L&I Code Enforcement Inspector, L&I Building Inspector or L&I Codes Compliance Specialist.NOTES FOR CODE VIOLATIONS SPECIALTY ONLY:1. Additional Experience in any of the classes listed above can be substituted for the educational requirement on a year for year basis.2. Certification as a Fire Inspector 1 by the International Code Council (ICC) along with certification in Hazardous Materials Awareness by an agency such as the Philadelphia Fire Department can be substituted for one year of the required education.3.
