If you are someone who appreciates tech-forward features and vibrant social scenes, then we invite you to explore a career with Aloft Hotels at our Minneapolis location in the charming and upbeat Mill District neighborhood.This is a Sherman Associates owned Marriott franchised location.This position as a Front Desk Associate is responsible for check-in, checkout, kiosk operations, and all other guest transactions they strive to exceed established standards at every opportunity and take pride in the overall look and feel of our brand.Schedule: We are currently seeking full-time and part-time availability, weekends required.Essential FunctionsEnsures every guest is greeted and Welcomed on arrivalRegisters and book guests, verifying reservation, address, email address and credit informationProficient on kiosk operations to assist when necessaryAnswers all inbound calls in a professional mannerHas an intimate knowledge of the hotel facilities and the local geographic areaAccepts payment for guests' accounts at the time of registration and at checkoutMaintains a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts dailyProcesses all Retail transactions for the guestResponsible for restocking and assuring overall cleanliness of RetailIssues luggage claims and check guest luggage when requestedTakes pride in the overall look and feel of the hotel assuring cleanliness and conditions are at their peak at all timesRespectfully listen and respond to guest complaints in an efficient and professional mannerCompletes additional duties as assignedExperience and SkillsMinimum Requirements1-3 years of experience in a similar public contact position (high-end retail, hospitality, or related service industries).Minimum age requirement of 18 years old or olderPrior HiltonOnQ systems experience is strongly preferred.Basic computer knowledge and some knowledge in word, excel, outlook, and internetA passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman AssociatesSchedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotelJob BenefitsCompensation And Benefits Pay Range: $18 - $19hour. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
