California Faucets is looking to bring on a talented Manufacturing Engineer. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA manufacturing facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.The Manufacturing Engineer I serves as a collaborative member of the Operations team and supports the departmental initiatives aimed at implementing solutions which improve quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity in the manufacturing environment. This person is a highly motivated self-starter who can prioritize and take ownership of tasks. They are collaborative in their approach to the operations team and excited to be "hands-on" in solving production related issues.What's in it for you! 100% Employer-Paid Medical + Dental + Vision Insurance options for employees401(K) Plan with company matchProfit Sharing PlanFlexible Spending AccountsBasic Life and AD&DLong Term DisabilityPaid time offEmployee referral bonus programEmployee Assistance ProgramIn this role, the Manufacturing Engineer: Supports the development and implementation of productivity improvements throughout the facility.Assists with the design and layout for machining, processing, assembly, and material handling operations to provide for safety, productivity, efficiency, and product quality.Performs detailed data analysis of part usage, labor hours, and other factors to design and implement optimized manufacturing process layouts.Assists with the design and implementation of fixtures, jigs, and custom tools to improve safety and productivity.Analyzes and evaluates current and proposed manufacturing processes for safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.Utilizes engineering techniques (statistical analysis, time studies, theory of constraints, design of experiments, etc.) to identify areas of constraint within the manufacturing process and implements solutions to resolve these problems.Works with leads, operators, and production supervisors to solve issues pertaining to safety, space utilization, and material handling.Assists in the establishment of standards & documentation for assembly and process operations.Performs additional assignments per management direction.Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Follows established procedures for routine work. Must be able to independently troubleshoot common technical problems.Accountabilities :After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete tasks on a prearranged schedule.Education and Experience :•BS degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering preferred) from a 4-year college or university. •Excellent PC skills including advanced Excel and other MS Office applications.•Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. •Knowledge of and basic skills in common engineering-related software is strongly preferred.•Intermediate CAD skills in 3D modeling software - SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.•Exposure to Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methods is strongly preferred.Physical Requirements :•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work with their hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.•Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.•Ability to walk to all areas of the building and grounds, including maneuvering around equipment to evaluate processes and operation.•Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds. •Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.•Ability to use power and manual tools in the execution of hisher daily duties. •Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, able to work under pressure, manage stress, and meet deadlines. •Must be able to travel to outside suppliers to validate equipment and tooling. •Must be able to file, write, type, operate a computer, use a telephone, and operate other office equipment.Salary Description Up to $105,000.00 depending on experience
